Instant Photography
Using old techiniques from the early years of photography. Based on AfgahanBox Camera.
This is a hand-built camera with which you can obtain instant photographs on paper using a process dating back to the early twentieth century.
As shown in the pictures, the camera is a kind of wooden drawer. Inside it there is a mechanism that serves to focus the image and also two small tanks where the developer liquid and the fixer are placed. It also has an opening with an opaque sleeve through which the arm can be inserted to carry out the process of developing and printing the image, as this must be done in complete darkness. The exposure time of the image, in optimal light conditions, is around 5 seconds, the development 1 minute and the fixing 1 minute. In this way, in just 5 minutes, an instant image is created that is reminiscent of the old images that bring so much melancholy and enjoyment to our memory.
